Partially Done

This is a fisheye view of my living room from about 5 years ago. It was pretty. Traditional. Brown. Comfortable. Sleep inducing. Dog loved.  But as I stated before here, it no longer made me feel proud.

Currently  I am trying to keep the clutter and whatnot  down to a minimum. Cleanliness, because I feel that my house is a bit out of control  as of late.
From these pictures it seems as if the room would be overwhelmingly bright, but not so.

Ask me that again when I have a migraine though, I may answer differently then.

So the wall color is ghost grey by Olympic.  (Lowes)

The trees were purchased over on Etsy.com  at Nouwall

My big beautiful Andersen painting was picked up at Schoolhouse Collectables for $60.

The Lamps were also $60 over on Ebay. Those shades don't go as well as I'd like, but they will work until I find the perfect set. The little wall hugging / half circle, 3 shelved table under the lamp was found at the Pickett Fence.  I also picked up that brown cabinet next to the patio door at the Pickett Fence. Love that place, too.

The Chinese checker board was scored over at the Flying Pig in Snyder, Oklahoma. The chairs that I have saved over in storage also came from there, but it will be a little while before they come to play with the other furniture.

There used to be a place on our local Square called Antiques on the Square. Oh how I loved oogling merchandise in that place. Then one day I went over to get my oogle fix and it was closed up and emptied out. Boooooooo! They should warn a girl.

I went through withdrawals.
Then we have my latest find of this beautiful buffett. I completely understand that this teal color is all the rage for repurposed furniture, but it just was not going to work  for my living room palate.  Nor were the flower pulls that it was sporting when we brought it home.
This piece was found at the Main Street Merchantile.

So , it was covered with a Glidden grey color that I can not remember the name of and left to dry for about a week before it came to live inside of the house.  I searched all over Ebay and Etsy and finally found some pulls that I felt matched the style of the buffet as well as the cleanliness feel I am going for in the living room.   The shop is called Violet Slippers and they have so many neat pulls out there. Check them out!!! The pulls came in the mail
and after cleaning them up I spray painted them and then attached them to the buffet.  I think they look way better than the round ones. What do you think?
Am not done with the room yet, but that  is all I am planning on doing before the holiday rush attacks.

So, here's a picture of Olgie that Roses took. She was so little that her ears weren't even done standing up yet.

Awwww.

I love her so!
