Sha-bow-bow!

In the spring of 2005 I took this picture that I took myself...

...and created this background tile. If you want to borrow it for your website that does not make monies, then feel free. If you like it enough to buy it then email me.

Dear Sir.

We appreciate your business.
We are glad to help you with your needs.
Please understand that telling us that we need to hurry up,
because you overslept,
and are now late for your appointment,
doesn't make me want to speed up.
It makes me WANT to say,
"Like, dude, like totally get an alarm clock with a battery back up,
'cos like we're working as fast as we can and it's like, not our fault you are late."

We were sweet and accommodating and patient with you and you were sweet too.
Just please don't tell us to hurry up because of your fault.

I have watched maybe a total of 1.5 hours of Olympic coverage this time around.
Why you ask? I have some issues surrounding it all this year that I've kept under wraps REALLY WELL.

Most of what I watched was only done so because the nail place had it on when I got my mani / pedi last Sunday. Womens volleyball. It was really great to watch. Very easy to see why people go to the matches and even get involved.

When I attended high school in the smallish Texas town we lived in we were required to take P.E. and required to wear a certain uniform. Full coverage, we all looked the same and had our name in white lettering on our right shorts leg.

We played volleyball and in spite of the fact that my forearms and wrists stung for hours after school was over I loved playing. It's probably hard for my husband and kids to imagine how active I was as a teen, but I really was. Not in a perverted way either.

Quit it.

Back to the Olympics.
Not even the gymnastics has pulled me in to its web. My parents and sister know what a feat that is for me. Usually if it is on I'm somewhere watching. Getting goosebumps when the girls stick their landings and have great routines done perfectly.

Gymnastics was one of the things I did in junior high. I loved it dearly. Was so limber that I could do a split, lye my belly flat on the floor and rest my cheek flat on the floor as well. Could do a back bend and rock my chest so far forward that it would touch the wall and my chin never touched the wall. The most fun? Flip flop competitions. Our coach would allow us girls to have competitions to see who could get in the most flip flops before we tired out....or hit the wall. I got up to 1 round-off and 5 flip flops (back handsprings)...before I pooped out.

I so miss gymnastics class.

Hopefully by the time that the winter Olympics roll around I'll be able to get over my media causing controversy issues as well as the others I have this time around. The Olympics can really be a great thing if handled properly.

Tonight I put 2 scoops of vanilla butterfinger ice cream in a bowl and then poured 1/4 of a can of Dr. Pepper over the top of it.

It was heavenly.
