It has been a long week. Why, I do not know for sure but it feels like it has been long. The weekend holds no rest either so I'll just have to wait till Monday to catch up on some crochet stitches I guess.
Thursday my daughter asked me on a moment's notice if we could go take pictures to send in her graduation announcements. This is something we have discussed before in great detail. She's been told that I will not be able to take pictures of her that will look like those made at a studio. She assured me that mine will be fine and that she likes my pictures I take of her.
So we headed out around 1:30 p.m. Not an ideal time but she had to work that evening so my suggestion of a 6 p.m. photo shoot outside was shot down. The lighting is so much better then I think. Not so harsh and bright. Better tones...blah, blah, blah.
The girl? Was not in a good mood. Showed up at my house hot because, good golly, it was over 80 degrees. In May? In Oklahoma? Peeshaw! It is just craziness I tell ya. She was also slightly overly hormonal (wink, wink) and hungry.
Me, being her Mom and all fore-saw disaster. When making my own lunch I made extra. Why? She's been dropping in around lunch time lately and raiding the fridge and pantry. Don't mind at all. Actually it feels kind of nice to see her in the middle of the day and to be able to help her feel better...even if it is just with some free food.
We headed out and took pictures. Some with and some without the Super Grand Girl Rose. My daughter is seriously moody and shooting down all pictures that I took of her. And we took A LOT! So when we were done and she had to go to work I suggested that she come by on Friday. Why? Because then she may not be so moody and the pictures may look better to her then.
Really now...she was fussing about the wind blowing her hair and how it won't stop.
I looked at her.
Said, "Child! We live in Oklahoma."
"Oklahoma."
"Where the wind comes sweeping down the plains."
She settled on this one today.
A good choice if you ask me.

With that beautiful face, does anything else... backgrounds and stuff really matter?
Two gorgeous babes in one picture.
She is also the one with the scarf, right? That photo is awesome too. She should be as beautiful as her mother I bet!
